I do recommend using Living Weapon against tougher enemies whenever possible, though.

It builds up very quickly and there's no point saving it. This can give you an edge in a tough fight.Īgainst normal enemies, on the other hand, don't be too stingy with your Living Weapon. Note: If you have items like the various stones that give you Amrita you can use these during a boss fight to replenish your Living Weapon. Instead, whittle away at their health and then unleash your Living Weapon when it has a better chance of taking them down. If you use it too early and then die, it's all for nothing. This is a powerful attack but once you've used it you can't replenish it during a boss fight. Pressing square and triangle at the same time unleashes this devastating attack, and makes you briefly invincible.ĭon't use your Living Weapon on the boss until you've drained its life about half way. Then make sure you build up your Living Weapon gauge before the fight. Equip a Fire Guardian Spirit to fight against the boss who's weak to fire, and the Water Guardian Spirit who's weak to water. Each Guardian Spirit has different powers, Living Weapons, and elements associated with it. Choose your Guardian Spirit wisely, and use your Living Weapon frequently. Many of these seemingly insurmountable fights will be much easier if you find out how to counter properly.ģ. Add fire to your weapon during the fight to take down the boss much more quickly. Another boss has powerful water-based attacks that can be similarly countered. One boss has a powerful paralyzing attack that can be easily countered by wearing a charm with high defense to paralyze and the Archer Garb you find within the level. But in Nioh each boss has a weakness you can exploit, and usually their most powerful attacks can be countered by wearing the right armor and charms and preparing the right ninja and Onmyo magic.
